One of the best perks about working from home has got to be the lack of cubicles. Who wants to be surrounded by dated felt walls anyways? Do these office designers really think that is going to make for a positive work environment? I think not.
I am a sucker for accessories, and just because I tend to learn towards the handbag variety – it does not mean they are my only obsession. I am also obsessed with cute desk accessories!!! (Among many other things). Kate Spade dominates the market when it comes to adorable brand name accessories for your home and office.
I am a grown woman, and that means if I want to buy an overpriced stapler just because it’s cute, and by Kate Spade – than I can! (…and the matching scissors, ruler, tape dispenser.. things can get out of hand).
Now to be fair, not all of my accessories are brand name. I love mixing in high end pieces with affordable ones. The notebook pictured above is from Indigo, but paired with Kate Spade items it totally looks like it could be too!
My white wireless mouse and keyboard is from Amazon and was definitely under $40 – it was a STEAL (and it works perfectly!).
I must say, the black monitor drives me crazy – but I’m keeping my eyes out for a beautiful white monitor to go with my theme. If you have one let me know in the comments below!
My desk chair is probably one of my favourite pieces, I absolutely love the stud detailing on the bottom edge of it. It’s from Serta but again, I found it on Amazon and they delivered it right to my door. All I had to do was screw the wheels on. PB Teen has the most BEAUTIFUL office chairs! I have found so many good finds on their site, but it was hard to turn down this Serta chair from Amazon when it was only $189CAD! It’s super comfortable and I am very pleased about this find.
Here are a few of my favourite office accessories:
If I could go around decorating women’s offices I would. Alternatively, I would have five of my own offices. That way they could all have a different theme! There are soooooo many cute, feminine, boss babe office ideas out there! Choosing which you like best is the hardest part.
Having a home office that speaks to your character and your role is important. Don’t know what sort of office speaks to you? Here are a few ideas:
The Calm before the Pastel:
Pastels, whites, and light colours bring on a sense of calm – so if you have a job that would benefit from being in a calm environment (a high stress role) then light and airy pastels are for you.

Queen of the Corporate Jungle:
Maybe your role requires you to stay on the top of your game at all times. Perhaps it’s a very competitive position, a position that is ready to pounce at any moment. (Too cheesy?) You get the point! If this was my role, being surrounded by animal prints, golds, and jewel tones would definitely keep me feisty from 9-5.

Blushing Business Babe:
Maybe your just looking for a super feminine chic space that makes you feel like a total boss babe. A Gold & Blush theme never fails, elegant & sophisticated.

Love this post! Although I work in an office, I often dream about what my ideal space would look like. I’d go for option#1 but with some vintage pieces thrown in for good measure 😉 also love a good plant in an office to bring the outdoors in (even if it’s just a fake one!). Great post, loved seeing what you love!
